DENIS BRAHAM NAMED CHAIR OF KINDER’S TEXAS BOWL BOARD OF DIRECTORS

HOUSTON – Lone Star Sports & Entertainment announced today that Denis Braham has been named chair of the Kinder’s Texas Bowl Board of Directors, succeeding outgoing chair Jim Fairbairn. Braham will serve a two-year term through the 2027 Kinder’s Texas Bowl.

Braham, a shareholder and co-chair of the Sports Industry Group at Greenberg Traurig LLP, brings decades of leadership experience in sports business, law and major event development to the role. A founding member of the Texas Bowl board in 2006, he has played an integral role in supporting the Bowl’s mission of delivering premier college football experiences while making a meaningful impact in the Houston community. The board is composed of civic and corporate leaders from the Houston and college football communities who serve as ambassadors for the game and its philanthropic efforts, which primarily support DePelchin Children’s Center, Houston’s oldest children’s center.

“Denis has been a trusted and influential member of our board since the inception of the Texas Bowl, and his leadership, experience and deep ties to the Houston community make him the ideal choice to serve as chair,” said General Manager of Lone Star Sports & Entertainment, David Fletcher. “We appreciate Jim’s leadership and look forward to the continued elevation of the bowl’s impact both on and off the field under Denis’ chairmanship.”

“I am extremely honored to chair the upcoming Texas Bowl underwritten by Kinder’s,” said Braham. “The bowl game is entering its 21st year and this could not be a better time to showcase Houston and its preeminent position as a sports destination. Our board takes tremendous pride in bringing together the top college football talent and at the same time spotlighting our community and the charitable contributions that the bowl game makes to the DePelchin Children’s Center.”

Braham is widely recognized as one of the leading sports and real estate attorneys in Texas. As co-chair of the Sports Industry Group at Greenberg Traurig, Braham represents clients across the sports industry, including venue development, finance and P3 transactions, as well as sports commissions, local organizing committees for major sporting events to professional sports teams, universities, and governmental entities in complex sports transactions.

Throughout his career, Braham has been involved in some of the most significant sporting events hosted in Houston, including serving as legal counsel to bid and host committees for major events such as the Super Bowl, NCAA Men’s Final Four and NBA All-Star Game. His work has helped position Houston as one of the premier destinations for large-scale sporting events in the United States.
